what i've been loving recently

It's been a while since I wrote about my current 'must-haves' or favourites, but when I started planning my blogs for the next coming weeks I realised how many things I've been loving at the moment and thought it was only necessary for me to share them all with you.

BEAUTY:
BONDI SANDS FAKE TAN: I'm a VERY pale person, so tanning is something I've always been quite afraid of. Whether it was my irrational fear of looking like a tangerine, or it just wouldn't suit me, I've never even thought about it as being something I would want to do on the regular. But this product is something I've been super obsessed with for the last few months, as it gives me a rather natural looking tan, and also makes me feel super good about myself, which is always a win. It is definitely on the pricey side for fake tan, but it is a product which lasts quite a long time so I would definitely recommend.

VICTORIA SECRET 'LOVESPELL' FRAGRANCE: Finding a perfume I genuinely like has always been difficult for me. I've never been the type to wear many fragrances, but I just think this body-mist is so lovely. It's a very sweet smell, very peachy, but so lovely. It's only £10 so the scent isn't very long-lasting, but I think it's definitely worth the purchase.

FILM:
BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY: I'm very late to the party, I know. I've been planning to watch this film right before the Oscars, but life, you know? But it was definitely worth the wait. Rami Malek did an absolutely beautiful performance as Freddie Mercury, and I was so enticed into the storyline the entire time. It left me playing Queen on Spotify many days after watching (still am tbh). Definitely a film I would recommend to anyone and everyone.

CAPTAIN MARVEL: BEA-UTI-FUL. Brie Larson is amazing alone, but her performance in this film was so heart-warming. A female lead in a Marvel movie is something that makes me smile from the core anyway, but her portrayal of the character was so honest and inspirational. I don't think I'll ever have anything bad to say about a Marvel film (incredibly bias), but this film is definitely one of my favourites. Like, the flashback to her picking herself every time she fell in life because she's a STRONG WOMAN? COME ON, I WEEPED. Amazing film.

THE RIOT CLUB: Ah, this film. It was a very hungover afternoon when I discovered this, but that didn't stop me from being enticed the entire time. The basic storyline of the film is following the lifestyle of some VERY rich boys in Oxford University, and the extent to which they behave due to the wealth they have. It's a very shocking film, with a very intense storyline, which I definitely (only slightly) disregarded due to the cast. Max Irons, Sam Claflin and Douglas Booth? COME ON, give me a break. I loved it so much and it's on Netflix for anyone interested.

TV SHOWS:
BODYGUARD: This show is my new favourite thing to talk about apparently. If you've been around me in the last three weeks, it seems to be the only thing I've spoken about passionately. Richard Madden plays the bodyguard of UK's Home Secretary during a time of mass terror alert in London, and the show explores the character when he realizes the woman he is protecting is advocating for policies he disagrees with massively. It's one of the most intense shows I've watched in a very long time, and of course, Richard Madden is always a joy to watch. It's currently on Netflix, and I couldn't recommend this show more.

BIG MOUTH: I discovered this show because of two things. 1. My new-found love for comedian John Mulaney, and 2. Many long evenings exploring Netflix deciding what to watch next, and I'm so glad I started watching. The animated comedy is based around some pre-teens who are beginning to experience the beauty of puberty, and the many factors which make being a teenager an absolute joy. It's a very funny, eye-opening and relatable series, which took me around 4 days to watch (when I was still at University too) as I just couldn't stop watching. Nick Kroll and John Mulaney are absolutely hilarious, and it's a show I'll definitely be watching again, just because it was so good.
